In 1826 a waterworks company formed to supply water to the inhabitants of Birmingham and on 20 July 1856 the waterworks company acquired the Brookvale site from Wyrley Birch for £3,600.

Hazelwell Park is situated in Stirchley, Birmingham near the Cartland Road. The River Rea Route also passes through the park.

Muntz Park is situated in Selly Oak, Birmingham between Gristthorpe Road and Umberslade Road.
St Paul's Square is the only remaining Georgian square in Birmingham. It is situated in the Jewellery Quarter. The earliest buildings were completed by 1780. Also called Titty-Bottle Park.
St Martin's Square opened at the new Bullring in 2003 near the Grade II* listed church known as St Martin in the Bullring. The Spiceal Street development was built and opened in 2011.
Tudor Grange Park is situated in Solihull, West Midlands. Near the Blossomfield Road. Formerly the estate of the Bird Family, of Bird's Custard fame. There is a leisure centre here.
Cathedral Square in Birmingham is home to the city’s majestic St Philips Cathedral. Built in 1715, it gained Cathedral Status in 1905. It is the seat of the Bishop of Birmingham.
Selly Park (Recreation Ground) is named after the parkland that was originally associated with Selly Hall. It is also called Selly Hill Park.
